Assumptions behind the numbers
- Prices are each provider’s published list prices and each state’s official fees, last checked . Promotions are ignored so totals are not understated.
- The first state annual fee or report falls in year 2. Delaware’s LLC tax is modelled at $400, which applies from tax year 2026.
- The DIY scenario assumes a budget registered agent at about $100 a year and an EIN obtained free from the IRS.
- Bizee does not publish its registered agent renewal price; we use $149/yr, the higher of recently reported figures.
- Form 5472 preparation is charged from year 2, when the first return is filed. Tax plans billed as subscriptions (doola) are charged every year.
- Excluded: bank fees, mail scanning beyond what a plan includes, ITINs, sales tax, and any tax owed in your home country.
